From warm up, to meditative cool down, to toning and conditioning, Kick It provides real change from the inside out, while also creating a fun and upbeat environment that everyone will enjoy.Įliza Shirazi (she/her) was a college student when she noticed the lack of community-centered fitness options for women. Once you become comfortable with these kicks, learn more advanced ones or add new elements such as dribbling and navigating obstacles.Kick It is a music-driven, kickboxing-inspired fitness method with 13 rounds that have specific goals. As you improve your accuracy and power, gradually move the ball further away from the goal.Run up to the ball and kick using goal shot technique so the ball goes into the goal at one of the four corners.Place the soccer ball 24 to 30 feet away from the goal.As you improve your accuracy and control, gradually narrow the gap between the two cones until they’re only one to two feet apart.

Practice kicking the ball with the right and left foot.If you have a partner, kick the ball back and forth to each other. Kick the ball using chip shot technique so it hits the wall in between the two cones and returns to you.If you’re kicking to a teammate, have them stand 60 to 90 feet away from you. Place two cones right next to the wall, about 9 to 12 feet apart.As you improve your accuracy and control, gradually narrow the gap between the two cones until they’re only 1 to 2 feet apart.Be sure to practice kicking the ball with the right and left foot.If you have a partner, simply kick the ball back and forth.
